Amid the ongoing global energy transition, zero-carbon industrial parks have garnered widespread attention as an important vehicle for advancing green and low-carbon industrial development. Countries including China, Germany, and Singapore have undertaken distinctive explorations tailored to their respective national conditions in the top-level design, policy mechanisms, technological application, and operational models of zero-carbon industrial parks, accumulating a wealth of practical experience. Southern Africa is endowed with abundant renewable energy resources such as solar and wind power, providing a strong resource foundation and development potential for zero-carbon industrial park construction.
This training aims to build an international exchange platform, inviting experts from China, Germany, Singapore, and other countries to share their experiences and practices in the planning, construction, and operation of zero-carbon industrial parks, so as to promote mutual learning and exchange among all parties, advance technological cooperation and project collaboration, jointly explore development pathways for zero-carbon industrial parks suited to the characteristics of different regions, and support green and low-carbon development in Southern African countries.
